Kirk J. Offel

Co-Head Coach

Kirk grew up wrestling all over the west coast as he moved frequently due to his fathers military career. Kirk started wrestling at the age of 9 and competed nationally as a cadet in both freestyle and folk style.Kirk wrestled 4 years Varsity in high school and was a California CIF Champion at 125 pounds his senior year.Kirk wrestled at the University of Northern Colorado, in Greeley, for 1 year before he decided to join the US Navy.Kirk served on a fast attack submarine for 5 years before getting out to finish college.Kirk now competes nationwide in the sport of Triathlon.Kirk has 2 sons who are just getting started into the sport of wrestling and he wants to be there to help teach the philosophy of wrestling.Kirk feels that wrestling can create the foundation and framework for a young kids entire work ethic and ability to cope with challenges thus leading to increased self confidence and success.

Ben Chouteau

Co-Head Coach

Ben grew up in northeastern Oklahoma and began wrestling at age seven.As a dual sport athlete in college, Ben was a varsity wrestler during his freshman and sophomore years.His collegiate wrestling career ended his junior year, when he continued on to play soccer for the University of Oklahoma . Ben began coaching youth wrestling while in high school and continued coaching and officiating throughout college. Ben has two sons who are members of the Cedar Park youth wrestling program.As a coach, Ben places a great deal of emphasis on character development through participation in competitive athletics.He shares with the rest of the Cedar Park youth coaching staff the firm belief that the lessons learned in the wrestling room will have a tremendous impact in shaping the future of the wrestlers as they become adults.
